The Authority has prescribed minimum data which must be provided by all blood establishments at regular intervals. The data is collected for planning purposes, as well as for surveillance and estimation of the transfusion transmissible infectious diseases that burden Pakistan.
Punjab Blood Transfusion Authority (PBTA) is the provincial regulatory body ensuring safe, ethical, and high-quality blood transfusion services across Punjab. We monitor and license all blood establishments involved in the vein-to-vein transfusion process.
