The National Blood Policy & Strategic Framework 2014-20 is a document approved and endorsed by the Ministry of National Health Services Regulation and Coordination. The policy is an attempt to reform the blood transfusion sector of the entire country in accordance with international recommendations.
Following four strategic clusters ensure proper implementation of the policy:
Punjab Blood Transfusion Authority (PBTA) is the provincial regulatory body ensuring safe, ethical, and high-quality blood transfusion services across Punjab. We monitor and license all blood establishments involved in the vein-to-vein transfusion process.
